Load Builder

Under general supervision, performs routine loading and unloading of materials within yard or work site; assembles load packages into trucks for delivery to customer job sites.

* Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trucks, or customer vehicles, and installs strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage during transit.

* Operates various lifting devices (e.g., forklift) to move products, equipment, or materials around the warehouse, shop, or yard.

* Performs load-building tasks, determining the appropriate weight, composition, and placement of loads based on customer orders and vehicle capacity to ensure safety and balance.

* Transports materials to or from storage to designated areas using hand trucks, electric dollies, forklifts, or other devices.

* Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information on containers to ensure correct identification.

High school diploma or GED and at least three (3) months of experience performing similar tasks, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Forklift certification is required.
