The Facilities Coordination and Planning Support Specialist will provide technical and administrative assistance to the NSWC Panama City Division (PCD) Facilities team. This role involves conducting site visits, participating in inspections and meetings, supporting facility‑related requirements, and maintaining effective communication with internal stakeholders. The contractor will play a key role in identifying and resolving facility deficiencies, supporting planning efforts, and ensuring accurate documentation and reporting.

Responsibilities

Site Visits:

  • Conduct site visits to assess facility conditions and identify deficiencies.
  • Follow up on repairs and corrections within and around facilities.
  • Submit detailed reports of findings within designated time frames.

Meetings Participation:

  • Attend recurring and ad hoc meetings with the NSWC PCD Facilities team and other stakeholders.

Communication:

  • Ensure timely and accurate communication with designated NSWC PCD personnel.
  • Provide informal notifications via email, phone, or other channels as needed.

Technical Support:

  • Assist in identifying and implementing solutions to facility‑related issues.
  • Collaborate with end users to understand facility requirements and deficiencies.
  • Review work for accuracy and completion, submitting findings within one week of receipt.

Inspections:

  • Participate in zone inspections, document findings, and distribute reports.
  • Conduct inspections to verify seating assignments, facility assets, and equipment conditions.
  • Support fleet vehicle program inspections and maintain inventory of non‑tactical vehicles.
  • Assist with other facility‑related inspections as required.
Qualifications

Security Clearance:

  • Must possess a favorably adjudicated Tier 3 Background Investigation for access to Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI).

Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Prior experience in facilities coordination or support in a government or military environment is highly desirable.

Technical

Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with facility management systems and inventory tracking tools.
  • Ability to access and handle Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) in compliance with security protocols.

Communication & Interpersonal

Skills:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to interact professionally with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Experience in drafting reports and communicating findings effectively.

Organizational & Analytical

Skills:

  • Detail‑oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Capable of conducting inspections, compiling data, and identifying trends or deficiencies.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines consistently.
