Senior Technician – Construction Materials Testing – Panama City, FL

Company: Intertek Building & Construction (Intertek, a Nationally Recognized Testing Lab)

Role Overview: As a Senior CMT Technician, you will perform field inspections and construction materials testing to ensure conformance with construction plans and specifications. You will also document inspection reports and testing data sheets, working on the shop floor and site.

• Perform a variety of testing, project‑specific observations, and site assessment duties under general supervision or from detailed controlled procedures.
• Operate testing equipment, conduct testing (soil, concrete, etc.) and provide assessment of data through reporting.
• Work using drawings, specifications, and diagrams.
• Use specific methods to observe site activities and perform tasks.
• Make detailed observations and provide limited interpretation of results.
• Maintain detailed documentation and data from test results.
• Operate a calculator to calculate mathematical test results.
• Communicate effectively with client and project teams.
• Adhere to safety practices and policies.

• 5+ years of construction materials testing experience.
• 5+ years of construction experience on naval installations.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable driving record.
• Effective written, verbal and listening communication skills and solid interpersonal skills.
• Basic math, calculator, and computer skills.
• Ability to read and understand work plans.
• Must be able to work off‑shift and overtime as needed.

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
• Construction supervision experience on naval installations.
