Your Role as a VPK Lead Teacher

We are looking for enthusiastic educators who are committed to excellence in early childhood education and to creating a supportive environment aligned with Florida's Office of Early Learning standards and the VPK curriculum. In this role, you will manage classroom activities, foster nurturing relationships with children and families, and implement a wide range of learning experiences covering physical health, social-emotional development, and academic skills such as logic and language development.

You will conduct assessments to tailor instruction for each child, including those with disabilities. Our approach values outdoor and indoor activities, with health and safety guidelines, thorough documentation, and open communication with parents as key aspects of the role.

Requirements

You Might Be the Perfect Fit if You:

  • Hold a high school diploma or GED, complete DCF 45 hours, have 1 year of experience in a children's classroom, and pass a background check; additionally, possess one of the following: a CDA or FCCPC with VPK training, or a degree in education or child development with appropriate qualifications for teaching birth through 8 years of age.
  • Have genuine empathy and understanding of children's needs and development.
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Exhibit flexibility and adaptability to meet community needs and respond to changing circumstances.
  • Capable of meeting the physical demands of working with children.
