SAIC is seeking a VoIP Network Engineer to join our team in Panama City, FL.

The qualified candidate will support the Joint & Expeditionary Command and Control (JEXC2) project at NSWC PCD by providing network support, hardware review, testing and evaluation, creating technical documentation and briefs, and direct support to customers. Typical core hours are 0800 to 1700.

• Apply industry knowledge and technical abilities to assist customers in management of networks and hardware at sites under the command.
• Advice on management and maintenance of switches, routers, firewalls, VPN gateways, VoIP telephones, VTC, and INE devices.
• Develop high‑quality documentation with minimal guidance that is coherent and easy to follow, complies with corresponding standards, style guides, and/or directives, and meets the customers' and end users' needs. Documentation includes but is not limited to Technical Manuals (TMs), Test Plans, Maintenance Plans, Job Aids, Capabilities Briefs, and other instructional and guidance documentation.
• Interpret engineering and maintenance drawings, operational procedures to understand and blend large quantities of computer‑related information.
• Research, collect, analyze, organize, and prepare technical information and data.
• Edit technical documentation for format, accuracy, clarity, consistency, and adherence to government specifications.
• Use multiple word processing and presentation tools such as MS Word, PowerPoint, and Visio.
• Schedule, attend, and participate in project meetings, review meetings, and validation/verification events.
• Create and maintain trackers for developing, planning, and scheduling purposes.
• Maintain inventories of network and communications devices and equipment.
• Serve as SME for deployment of tactical enclaves for exercises or contingency environments as needed.

  Education and Experience:
  
  Bachelors and five (5) years or more experience;
  Masters and three (3) years or more experience. Four (4) years’ experience can be accepted in lieu of degree.
• Must be resident of the United States of America.
• Must have demonstrated experience and understanding of voice technologies and protocols like SIP, RTP, and H.323.
• Be proficient in IP networking, IP addressing, subnetting, and routing, and know how to configure Quality of Service (QoS) to prioritize voice traffic.
• Be familiar with and able to manage VoIP systems and hardware, such as IP‑PBXs, gateways, and Session Border Controllers (SBCs).
• Demonstrated experience with configuration and troubleshooting of routing, routing protocols, ACLs, firmware upgrades, DHCP.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and configure networks, firewalls, VoIP, and connectivity.
• Minimum of CCNA Certification required.
• Candidate must have an active Secret clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret.
• Travel required approximately 10–25% of the time.
