Position Specific Description

In the role of Solar & Storage Field Engineering Regional Site Manager III, you will assume responsibility for all operational facets of the maintenance and repair of the solar and/or energy storage plant. Your chief priority will be ensuring the team’s safety while maximizing performance and profitability within the operational framework. This will require devising and executing strategies to elevate maintenance practices, diagnostic capabilities, and overall operational efficiency, resulting in heightened customer satisfaction and reduced service expenditures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Enforce the implementation of Operational Safety Policy Instructions, ensuring field work aligns with OSHA regulations, promoting sound employee safety practices, and fostering a culture of unparalleled employee safety.
  • Actively engage in and lead Business Lean Six Sigma processes and projects.
  • Recruit, nurture, retain, guide, and advance resources at sites to uphold professional standards and foster team development within a matrix environment.
  • Assume accountability for all aspects of timely safety and environmental reporting, financial reporting, and inverter availability.
  • Collaborate closely with internal Next Era stakeholders to devise and execute operation‑focused feedback and solutions for both planned and unplanned maintenance, improvement projects, development initiatives, and financial performance.
  • Serve as a positive and professional representative of Next Era Energy within the community and in interactions with customers.
  • Oversee the performance of solar and/or energy storage field operations within the designated contractual scope of responsibilities for external customers and stakeholders.
Ideal Candidate Attributes
  • Possesses a bachelor's degree in engineering.
  • Demonstrated adaptability to different geographic locations for potential future roles.
  • At least five years of hands‑on experience in leading field services operations, preferably within utility‑scale solar and/or energy storage operations.
  • Proficiency in collaborating effectively within a complex organizational structure and across all levels of the Company.
  • Strong executive presentation skills with the ability to communicate issues across various levels of the organization.
  • Certification as a Six Sigma green belt or a comparable quality assurance qualification.
  • Proficient in network infrastructure, communication protocols, and web technology.
  • Established track record of managing profit and loss responsibilities.
  • Exceptional analytical capabilities and a record of thriving in cross‑functional and team‑oriented environments.
Job Overview

Leaders in this job are responsible for the daily management and leadership of a solar and storage generation facility. Individuals are responsible for the overall safe and reliable operation of the solar and storage site.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with all Power Generation Division (PGD) operational model processes.
  • Lead by example and emulate the PGD shared values.
  • Ensure all business activities are conducted following corporate policies and are in compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal permits, codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Analyze and identify root cause of complex application deficiencies and implement comprehensive technical solutions.
  • Act as technical liaison to individuals within and outside the organization with responsibility to act independently regarding technical matters.
  • Develop new and improve existing processes with the goal of increasing productivity, reducing risk of system failure, promoting efficiency in workflow, and meeting or exceeding key operational performance targets.
