Battelle’s National Security Business Line is seeking a Field Technician to assist the technical team in the execution of Research, Development, Test & Evaluation (RDT&E) efforts. This position is located on-site at Tyndall Air Force Base, near Panama City, FL
.

The successful candidate will support efforts in emerging technical areas related to U.S. Air Force Civil Engineering requirements. Active areas of research include, but are not limited to:
Evaluation of Blast and Ballistic Protection Systems, Mitigation of Internal Blast Effects, Protective Systems for Infrastructure and Asset Survivability, Resiliency Technology Development, and Additive Manufacturing Construction.

• Working knowledge of standard construction techniques, with experience in concrete work, formwork, and fabrication
• Working knowledge of a range of heavy equipment operations
• Candidate must exhibit sufficient technical knowledge to perform routine assignments
• Demonstrated ability to operate basic equipment and follow standard procedures
• Manages ordering, receipt, and inventory of purchases, shipments, and equipment
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Other duties, as assigned

• HS diploma and >2-year experience
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Good computer skills including MS Windows and Office
• Must be a US Citizen and have the ability to obtain/maintain a DoD security clearance
• Sufficient medical fitness to work in the field to perform assigned duties. Position will involve working outdoors in all weather
