What We're Looking For:
Barge Design Solutions, Inc. is currently seeking to fill the position of Aviation Project Manager in West Tennessee or Northern Florida. The successful candidate will manage and develop aviation projects primarily in West Tennessee, Mississippi, Northern Florida, and the Gulf Coast. Typical projects include runway/taxiway extensions, apron expansions, hangar construction, terminal construction, installation of airfield NAVAIDS, airfield lighting replacement, asphalt overlays, concrete and asphalt pavement designs, Airport Master Planning, and pavement maintenance projects.
The ideal candidate seeks a new challenge that involves leading a creative and thoughtful design process from concept to completion and contributing to an innovative design culture that values client relations and professional development.
Responsibilities:
Education & Experience Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) registration required.
- 6-12 years of experience, including aviation engineering.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of FAA Airport Circulars, engineering design, bidding, construction administration, and management of airport projects.
- Familiarity with airport design under FAA and State block grant programs.
- Collaborative team player.
- Existing relationships with FAA and State Aeronautics personnel are a plus.
- Some travel required.
