SAIC is seeking a Network Implementation Engineer to join our team supporting the JEXC2 Program, based in Panama City, FL.
Note:
This role is for a future position once the government has resumed normal operations.
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to deploy, configure, and maintain secure classified network solutions for our clients, primarily focused on tactical enclaves and related infrastructure. This role requires a strong understanding of network security principles, experience with Cisco networking equipment and network encryption devices, and the ability to travel to CONUS and OCONUS locations extensively to support deployments and ensure optimal performance.
Responsibilities- Deploy, configure, and maintain Cisco ISR
4451 routers and Cisco C9300 switches to support network infrastructure needs. - Implement and manage network encryption solutions, including KG-175G and KG-250X encryptors, ensuring secure data transmission.
- Travel to client locations to install and configure networking equipment, ensuring seamless integration with existing infrastructure.
- Optimize and maintain tactical enclave domains to ensure maximum operational capability.
- Proactively manage network resources, implement robust backup procedures, and minimize outages and downtime.
- Configure and troubleshoot routing, routing protocols, ACLs, firmware upgrades, and DHCP services.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network, firewall, VoIP, and connectivity issues.
- Bachelor's degree and 2 years of network experience OR four years of network experience in lieu of a degree.
- Proven experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Cisco ISR
4451 routers and Cisco C9300 series switches. - Strong understanding of network security principles with experience configuring and managing network encryptors (e.g., KG-175G, KG-250X).
- Experience with the management and maintenance of switches, routers, firewalls, VPN gateways, VoIP telephones, VTC, and INE devices.
- Experience configuring, patching, and applying DISA STIGs to all Layer 2 and Layer 3 network services, including switches, routers, and firewalls.
- Subject Matter Expert (SME) level knowledge in the deployment of tactical enclaves for exercises or contingency environments.
- CCNA Certification required or ability to obtain within 90 days for candidates with acceptable experience and resident network knowledge.
- Full Top-Secret clearance preferred;
Full Secret clearance acceptable. - Ability to travel to CONUS and OCONUS locations for 30 weeks annually, approximately 60% of the time.
