The Market Area Controller is a key financial leader responsible for managing financial operations within a defined market area. This role leads financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis while partnering with operations to ensure efficiency, compliance, and sustainable profitability.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for the market area
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and internal controls
- Deliver financial insights, variance analysis, and KPIs to support strategic decision‑making
- Lead annual budgeting and rolling forecast processes in collaboration with operations leadership
- Monitor financial performance and recommend corrective actions
- Analyze revenue, cost trends, and operational initiatives to improve profitability
- Partner with operations to support route optimization and resource allocation strategies
- Evaluate financial impact of operational changes and growth initiatives
- Support internal and external audits and implement improvement recommendations
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of accounting professionals
- Serve as a key financial partner to operations, sales, and compliance teams
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
- 8–10+ years of progressive accounting and financial leadership experience
- CPA preferred, but not required
- Strong experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
- Proven leadership experience managing and developing accounting teams
- Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with financial/ERP systems
- Demonstrated ability to partner effectively with operational leaders
