- Operate within the "Resilient Mountains” project, including its "Adaptation at Altitude" and "Mountains Adapt" components and other related activities focusing on the nexus between nature and climate action in mountain ecosystems.
- Contribute in providing assistance in support of the implementation of the aforementioned project (components) and related activities with a particular focus on the East African region and other tropical mountain ecosystems across the world.
- Closely liaise with UNEP´s relevant Divisions and other partners within the UN system.
- Under the direct supervision of the Programme Management Officer (Mountain Team Leader), the incumbent will be responsible for the following duties:
