Advanced Clinical Pharmacist Emergency Department

Ensures availability and proper handling of formulary medications; oversees accurate dispensing and compounding of daily medicines; and serves as a liaison between Pharmacy and other departments for eMAR.
- Supports and assists in meeting departmental goals.
- Performs assigned department‑based monitoring duties promptly.
- Directs work area activities effectively, establishing priorities and initiating changes based on workload.
- Provides concise reports at shift change and communicates incomplete assignments and patient concerns.
- Maintains a clean, organized work environment and demonstrates professional behavior.
- Demonstrates expertise in clinical pharmacology, current medication therapy, and pharmacy information systems (Meditech, ADM’s).
- Completes annual education requirements, competency assessments, and required tests (e.g., TB screening).
- Participates in department and hospital committees, task forces, and educational activities.
- Doctorate Degree in Pharmacy or Master’s Degree with minimum 5 years of hospital clinical pharmacy experience (PGY‑1/PGY‑2 or fellowship).
- Board Certified in a pharmacy specialty (BCPS, FCCP, or FASHP).
