Clinical Pharmacist in Acute Care Hospital

• Interpret, verify, and accurately enter medication orders into the pharmacy system.
• Compound and dispense medications in accordance with regulatory and institutional standards.
• Monitor drug therapy for contraindications, allergies, interactions, therapeutic appropriateness, and dose accuracy.
• Support and uphold the hospital formulary, promoting therapeutic interchange and cost‑effective medication management.
• Provide timely and accurate medication information to physicians, nurses, and patients.
• Participate in clinical programs including:
  • Pharmacokinetics
  • Anticoagulation management
  • Nutrition support
  • Pain management
  • IV-to-PO conversions
  • Renal dosing and additional programs designated by Pharmacy Leadership
• Document clinical interventions and activities thoroughly and accurately.
• Report and document medication errors and adverse drug reactions.
• Oversee pharmacy operations and offer guidance and support to pharmacy technicians and team members.

• Must have acute hospital pharmacist experience within the last 12 months.
• Open to new graduates with a completed hospital pharmacy internship.
• Preferred: 1+ year of recent hospital experience or completion of PGY-1 Residency.
• B.S. Pharm or Pharm
  
  D from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy.
• Active Florida Pharmacist License in good standing.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to function independently in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment.
• Previous HCA Healthcare experience is a significant plus.

• Mixed Shift: 6:00 AM–4:30 PM & 9:30 AM–8:00 PM.
• Night Shift (7 on / 7 off):
  Wednesday–Tuesday, 8:00 PM–6:30 AM.

Reporting to: Director of Pharmacy
Department: Central Pharmacy (not unit-based)

• Hourly Range: $58.15–$73.56 (based on experience).
• Shift Differentials:
  • Evenings: +$3.00/hr
  • Nights: +$6.00/hr
• $10,000 Sign-On Bonus
  • Paid in 5 installments over 24 months
