We are seeking a Clinical Pharmacist with recent acute care hospital experience to provide comprehensive clinical and operational pharmacy services. Key Responsibilities- Interpret, verify, and accurately enter medication orders into the pharmacy system.
- Compound and dispense medications in accordance with regulatory and institutional standards.
- Monitor drug therapy for contraindications, allergies, interactions, therapeutic appropriateness, and dose accuracy.
- Support and uphold the hospital formulary, promoting therapeutic interchange and cost‑effective medication management.
- Provide timely and accurate medication information to physicians, nurses, and patients.
- Participate in clinical programs including:
- Pharmacokinetics
- Anticoagulation management
- Nutrition support
- Pain management
- IV-to-PO conversions
- Renal dosing and additional programs designated by Pharmacy Leadership
- Document clinical interventions and activities thoroughly and accurately.
- Report and document medication errors and adverse drug reactions.
- Oversee pharmacy operations and offer guidance and support to pharmacy technicians and team members.
- Must have acute hospital pharmacist experience within the last 12 months.
- Open to new graduates with a completed hospital pharmacy internship.
- Preferred: 1+ year of recent hospital experience or completion of PGY-1 Residency.
- B.S. Pharm or Pharm
D from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy. - Active Florida Pharmacist License in good standing.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to function independently in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment.
- Previous HCA Healthcare experience is a significant plus.
- Mixed Shift: 6:00 AM–4:30 PM & 9:30 AM–8:00 PM.
- Night Shift (7 on / 7 off):
Wednesday–Tuesday, 8:00 PM–6:30 AM.
Reporting to: Director of Pharmacy
Department: Central Pharmacy (not unit-based)
- Hourly Range: $58.15–$73.56 (based on experience).
- Shift Differentials:
- Evenings: +$3.00/hr
- Nights: +$6.00/hr
- $10,000 Sign-On Bonus
- Paid in 5 installments over 24 months
