About the role

The Medical Cash Poster works under the direction of the Billing Manager and is responsible for daily cash posting and weekly reconciliation.

• High school diploma. Additional business and computer courses desirable.
• 3+ years medical cash posting experience preferred.
• Self‑motivated and able to consistently meet deadlines.
• Proficient in verbal and written communications, including active listening skills.
• Strong organizational skills, work ethic, and high attention to detail.
• Investigative personality – ability to efficiently determine the problem and get to the bottom of an issue.
• Excellent customer service and telephone etiquette skills.

• Review and interpret remittance instructions and apply payments accurately to invoices.
• Identify and reconcile payment differences, research online history for electronic payments, paybacks, and any other applicable transactions.
• Utilize multiple Excel spreadsheets to assist with cash reconciliation and to support transactions.
• Utilize web portals to identify and retrieve remittance details.
• Monthly reconciliation of bank statements.
• Work in a team environment and meet all obligations and duties as assigned by manager.
