Lead Certified Sterile Processing Technician

Job Summary

As a Certified Lead Sterile Processing Technician, you will be a safety expert and trusted leader on the team. You will keep all surgical instruments and supplies clean, reliable, and ready for patient care. You will also share your knowledge and guide your colleagues, creating a safe, efficient environment where the team can thrive and patients’ lives are improved every day.

• Clean, inspect, assemble, and sterilize surgical instruments and trays to ensure every tool works properly and is ready for patient care.
• Operate and maintain sterilization equipment while keeping detailed records of sterilization cycles, safety checks, and quality standards.
• Prepare surgical sets and case carts by reviewing daily schedules and gathering the right instruments and supplies for each procedure.
• Manage inventory, organize supplies in OR storage areas, and work closely with the surgical team to keep surgeries run smoothly and on time.
• Lead and train the Sterile Processing team, share updates on new equipment and processes, and set a positive example to support a safe, high‑quality environment where teamwork thrives.

• High School Graduate / GED.
• (CSPDT) Cert Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician, or (CST) Certified Surgical Technologist, or (CRCST) Certified Registered Central Service Technician must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date.
