Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)

Pan Care of Florida seeks a compassionate and motivated Certified Medical Assistant to join our clinical team. In this role, you will provide direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed nurse or provider while ensuring an efficient, supportive, and positive experience for every patient that walks through our doors.

• Prepare patients for exams and procedures while maintaining a caring, professional environment
• Take and record vital signs and other clinical measurements
• Perform basic diagnostic tests and collect specimens (blood draw, urine collection, swabs, etc.)
• Administer medications and injections as directed by a provider
• Assist with exams, procedures, and medical treatments
• Document all care and patient interactions accurately in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
• Support referral processing, care coordination, and follow‑up documentation
• Maintain exam rooms, equipment, and inventory, ensuring cleanliness and readiness
• Support compliance with CLIA, OSHA, safety, and infection‑control standards
• Assist with care gap closure, UDS/HEDIS documentation, and quality measures
• Help ensure timely and efficient patient flow throughout the clinic

• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to remain calm, organized, and flexible in a fast‑paced environment
• Professional demeanor and strong patient‑education approach

• High school diploma or GED required
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program preferred
• Certification required (CMA, RMA, or equivalent)
• Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred — new graduates welcome to apply

• Standing and walking for extended periods during the clinic day
• Occasional lifting up to 25–30 lbs. (equipment, supplies, patient assistance)
• Ability to bend, reach, and perform hands‑on clinical support tasks
• Manual dexterity for injections, blood draws, bandaging, and equipment use
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced medical environment
