AERMOR is seeking a Network System Administration Specialist III who will lead network and system administration projects in support of Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City Division (NSWC PCD) Network Operations. The role includes installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting network infrastructure devices and systems across multiple environments. The specialist will ensure compliance with DoD security standards, maintain connectivity, manage network documentation, and support infrastructure changes in remodeled and newly constructed buildings.
Additionally, the role requires mentoring junior and mid-level administrators and ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the RDT&E network.
- Support all network installs, changes, and maintenance for remodeled or newly constructed buildings.
- Configure network infrastructure changes to ensure compliance with current STIGs.
- Utilize administrative and remediation tools to implement changes to network infrastructure devices.
- Maintain up-to-date iOS versions on all network infrastructure devices.
- Eliminate vulnerabilities on all network infrastructure devices.
- Ensure connectivity between network infrastructure devices and network management systems.
- Troubleshoot network outages, including individual port issues.
- Prepare and maintain network infrastructure drawings, including floor plans, face layouts, and logical diagrams.
- Write, update, change, and maintain new and existing standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Create and maintain Navy RMF documentation and ensure compliance with DoD security standards.
- Configure switch changes to support lab moves and changes.
- Troubleshoot and maintain RDT&E systems in both Windows and Linux environments.
- Configure and support the Atlassian Dev Ops environment.
- Perform system configuration, troubleshooting, and software maintenance on virtual and physical servers.
- Support DRMO processes, including preparing obsolete or excess equipment for disposal.
- Lead network and system administration projects as assigned by Network Operations.
- Provide guidance and support to mid-level and junior network and system administration specialists.
- Assist with technical and administrative functions of network and system administration, including troubleshooting outages/issues, configuration management, and documentation.
- Oversee all aspects of configuration management, including drawings, SOPs, RMF artifacts, and literature.
- Must possess one of the following certifications: CASP+ CE, CCNP, CISSP, CISA, GCED, or GCIH.
- Preferred certification:
Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP). - Minimum of 5 years of experience with configuring and managing Cisco networking products, VMware products, Windows Server, and Red Head Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
- Extensive knowledge and implementation of DoD IT security requirements, including STIGs and RMF.
- Prior experience working with DoD networks, with a preference for Navy RMF and NAVSEA networks.
- Advanced troubleshooting, system optimization, and network security expertise.
- Experience in mentoring and leading technical teams.
