WMS Manager
Location: Hybrid (1 day a week)
Our client is seeking a Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) Manager to lead the administration, optimization, and continuous improvement of warehouse technology and operational processes across their distribution network. This role will serve as the primary owner of the organization's WMS environment, supporting inventory accuracy, warehouse efficiency, fulfillment operations, and system integrations.
The ideal candidate has experience with Net Suite WMS and/or RF-SMART, but candidates with strong experience supporting other enterprise WMS platforms are highly encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the day-to-day management, configuration, and support of the Warehouse Management System.
- Partner with warehouse operations, supply chain, inventory, and IT teams to identify process improvement opportunities.
- Lead WMS implementations, upgrades, enhancements, and system optimization initiatives.
- Manage RF device functionality, barcode scanning processes, and mobile warehouse workflows.
- Analyze operational data and system performance to improve inventory accuracy and warehouse productivity.
- Troubleshoot system issues and coordinate resolution with internal stakeholders and third-party vendors.
- Develop and maintain process documentation, SOPs, training materials, and user guides.
- Support integrations between WMS, ERP, transportation, and shipping systems.
- Drive best practices for receiving, putaway, replenishment, picking, packing, cycle counting, and shipping operations.
- Serve as the primary escalation point for WMS-related support issues.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience supporting, administering, or managing a Warehouse Management System.
- Experience with Net Suite WMS, RF-SMART, or similar WMS platforms preferred.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management, fulfillment, and distribution processes.
- Experience working with ERP systems and system integrations.
- Ability to gather business requirements and translate them into system solutions.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience leading cross-functional projects and driving process improvements.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with both technical and operational stakeholders.
