Director of Sales —
Location:
Panama City Beach, FL (On site).
Reports to:
Senior Vice President of Sales; close partnership with divisional and national leadership. Our client is a leading private builder of award-winning master-planned communities, offering resort-style amenities and high-quality homes.
Base pay range: $/yr - $/yr
Additional compensation types:
Annual Bonus. Total compensation will be based on skills and experience; relocation assistance may be available.
Our homebuilding client is seeking a Director of Sales to lead their sales team. This leader will guide five New Home Sales Consultants plus a licensed Sales Associate through the next stage of growth, transforming the team from an order-taking environment into a performance-driven, relationship-based sales organization. This is a high-visibility leadership role for a proven sales manager who thrives in change, embraces training and accountability, and energizes a team while keeping the focus on results.
KeyOutcomes
- Monthly sales production:
Consistently achieve 30–40 net sales per month. - Annual sales goal:
Deliver performance toward approximately 513 closings per year. - Contract efficiency:
Ensure reservations quickly convert to deposits, financing, contracts, and options without babysitting files. - Coaching and accountability:
Reinforce sales training, hold the team to high standards, and create a culture of growth and fun. - Reporting and visibility:
Track and share performance data weekly and monthly, using numbers to drive coaching and improvements.
Leadership and
Coaching:
Set clear performance standards across prospecting, discovery, demonstration, and closing. Conduct regular one-on-ones, role-plays, and live coaching sessions. Balance positive energy with assertive accountability.
Business Management: Oversee sales pipeline health and conversion ratios. Collaborate with administration, closings, purchasing, construction, and land teams to ensure smooth customer experiences. Implement process changes and ensure team adoption.
Team and Culture: Recruit and onboard high-caliber sales talent. Build a positive, fun, and high-performance team culture. Uphold the client’s value-based, non-incentive-driven sales philosophy.
Ideal CandidateProven success as a Director of Sales or Sales Manager leading a high-volume on-site sales team. Strong personal sales background with credibility to coach seasoned reps. Experienced in leading teams through change and adopting new training. Data-driven operator who uses ratios and reports to coach. Career stability with 4–5+ years tenure at past employers, with exceptions considered. Background with private builders or value-based sales models preferred.
Florida Real Estate License required, or willingness to obtain; relocation assistance available.
Base Salary: $260,000–$300,000, depending on experience. Annual Bonus:
Up to 20% of base, tied to sales goals and customer satisfaction results, paid annually in March or April. Benefits:

On-site leadership role in Panama City Beach, FL. Limited travel, including the annual Sales Rally and occasional two- to three-day onboarding trip to the company’s Florida headquarters.
