Payroll Clerk

C.W.Roberts Contracting, Inc. (CWR) is a growing road construction company. We are seeking to fill a Payroll Clerk position for our Panama City, Florida operations.

• Enter labor and equipment hours to proper cost codes on daily time sheets for shop, trucking and field mechanics and forward for supervisor approval
• Correctly enter time documented from paper timesheets into Heavy Job for each pay period
• Run weekly payroll report and identify employees missing time for the week
• Investigate instances of missing time to determine whether employee was missed or whether they were sick/ unexcused
• Provide list to payroll department of employees working on a certified payroll job whose wages did not meet the required pay rate
• Maintain confidentiality of highly sensitive information
• Additional duties as assigned

• Associates Degree in related field or two years of payroll experience required
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
• Accurate record keeping ability and familiarity with basic office procedures
• Ability to enter data and understand various computer programs
• Ability to organize and manage time and duties efficiently
• Effectively communicate verbally and in writing
• Employer conducts drug screening and background check
