Overview
ER RN position with Nights (Rotating Weekends) shifts available. We are an accredited facility offering comprehensive care, including advanced cardiac assessment and treatment, certified women’s services, dedicated spaces for adult and pediatric emergency services, and certifications in Advanced Primary Stroke Care and Comprehensive Breast Care. We are the area’s only Accredited Chest Pain Center with Primary PCI and Resuscitation. Other services include orthopedic care and joint replacement, robotic surgery, cardiac, vascular, and interventional services.
We also host the only Pediatric ER in the community, and the region’s only Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit.
Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic Emergency Room RN to join our team. To be successful in this role you must be a quick thinker, decision-maker, and multitasker, with a willingness to adapt to whatever the day may bring. You will provide nursing care for cases ranging from minor injuries to acutely or critically ill patients, working as part of a collaborative team that supports each other while delivering excellent patient care.
WHAT YOU WILL DO IN THIS ROLE:
- Triage, assess and treat patients of all ages
- Identify expected outcomes for a plan individualized to the patient and the situation
- Develop plans that prescribe strategies and alternatives to attain expected outcomes
- Manage multiple cases simultaneously, providing general nursing care and continually prioritizing needs
- Provide follow-up care instructions to patients and make necessary referrals
- Coordinate functions with physicians and other departments of the hospital, staying patient-focused and safety-aware at all times
What qualifications you will need:
- 1+ years recent Acute Care (within the last year) RN experience
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Florida, multistate or able to obtain licensure prior to start is required
- Associate Degree, or Registered Nurse Diploma
- BLS must be obtained prior to employment start date
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or ACLS Instructor must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) or PALS Instructor must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
