• Preventative and rehabilitative care for all athletes.
• Evaluation and first aid; practice and game supervision.
• Effective communication with athletes, parents, coaches, and physicians.
• Referring athletes for appropriate diagnostic follow-up and subsequent injury tracking.
• Shared community projects promoting our sports medicine service.

• Bachelor’s Degree / Graduate from a Certified Athletic Training Program required.
• Must be Licensed by the Florida Board of Athletic Training as an Athletic Trainer, or eligible to sit for the exam (must obtain license within 6 months of employment).
• Basic Cardiac Life Support required within 30 days of hire.

HCA Florida Gulf Coast Hospital is a 238‑bed acute care hospital. For 40 years, we have served Bay County and the surrounding communities. We are an accredited facility offering comprehensive care, including advanced cardiac assessment and treatment. We offer certified women's services and dedicated spaces for adult and pediatric emergency services. We are certified in Advanced Primary Stroke Care and a Comprehensive Breast Care Center.

We are the area’s only Accredited Chest Pain Center with Primary PCI and Resuscitation. Other services include orthopedic care, robotic surgery, cardiac, vascular, and interventional services. We host the only Pediatric ER in the community and the only Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit in the region.
