Director of Cardiac Care & Medical-Surgical Services (RN)

• Panama City, FL | Full-Time | Day Shift
• Hourly Pay: $50.50 – $60.10 (Based on Experience)

An established acute care facility in Panama City, Florida is seeking an experienced Director of Cardiac Care and Medical-Surgical Services (RN) to lead a dedicated 24-bed inpatient unit.
This role offers the opportunity to manage a highly skilled team that provides complex cardiac and telemetry care while ensuring safe, evidence-based nursing practice.

The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in cardiac nursing leadership, a collaborative management style, and a proven ability to drive operational efficiency and quality outcomes.

• Provide 24-hour administrative and clinical oversight of the cardiac/med-surg unit.

• Lead initiatives to improve patient safety, satisfaction, and quality performance metrics.

• Develop and manage staffing plans, budgets, and departmental goals.

• Support interdisciplinary collaboration to ensure seamless transitions across the continuum of care.

• Partner with physicians and clinical teams to strengthen service excellence and team engagement.

• Implement evidence-based practices and participate in hospital-wide performance improvement activities.

• Mentor nursing leaders and promote professional development among team members.

• Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.

Required:

• Current RN license in the State of Florida or Compact State

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or Healthcare Management (Master’s preferred)

• Minimum 5 years of recent acute care nursing leadership experience

• BLS certification within 30 days of hire

Preferred:

• Advanced certifications such as PCCN, CMSRN, or NE-BC

• Experience managing both cardiac and medical-surgical patient populations

• Proven success in driving unit-based quality and financial outcomes

• Hourly Rate: $50.50 – $60.10/hour (commensurate with experience)
