Associate Veterinarian – Bay Animal Hospital (Panama City, FL)
Serving the Panama City area for over 30 years, the Bay Animal Hospital staff works together as a team to provide our clients and patients the highest standard of veterinary care. Our practice has been voted "Best of the Bay" for 7 consecutive years!
More about the RoleAt Bay Animal Hospital, we don't just do veterinary medicine – we live it, breathe it, and celebrate it (usually with coffee, high‑fives, and the occasional happy dance when a tricky case has a great outcome). For more than 30 years, we've been the go-to veterinary family for Panama City's pets, and our community loves us back. Seven consecutive Best of Bay wins say it all.
We're looking for an Associate Veterinarian who's ready to practice gold‑standard medicine without sacrificing joy, balance, or their sense of humor. If you're the kind of DVM who lights up a room (and a treatment area), keeps calm in the chaos, and believes in treating both patients and people with compassion, you're going to fit right in.
Why You'll Love Us- Unlimited Personal Time Away – Life happens. Take the time you need, when you need it.
- Award‑Winning Reputation – Our community trusts us, and we take that responsibility seriously (but not ourselves too seriously).
- High‑Tech, High‑Heart – From advanced diagnostics to personalized treatment plans, we've got the tools to back up our care.
- A True Team Vibe – No egos here. We've built a culture of collaboration, laughter, mentorship, and mutual respect.
- Beach Life Bonus – We're in Panama City, Florida. Think sunshine, coastal breezes, and weekends on the water.
- Provide compassionate, thorough medical care for companion animals.
- Perform surgeries, diagnostics, and treatments with confidence.
- Communicate clearly with pet parents (turn vet‑speak into people‑speak).
- Support clients through every stage of their pet's life – from first check‑up to end‑of‑life care.
- Keep accurate medical records.
- Uphold veterinary ethics and hospital protocols with pride.
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) from an accredited AVMA program.
- Active or eligible Florida license.
- DEA/BNDD eligibility.
- Strong communication skills (bonus if you can deliver bad news and a good belly rub in the same appointment).
- Ability to lift 25 pounds solo, 25+ with a buddy.
- Competitive Compensation (negotiable based on experience)
- Unlimited Personal Time Away
- Bonus incentives
- Health, dental, and vision insurance
- 401(k) and Roth(k) retirement plans with match
- CE and licensure reimbursement
- Flexible scheduling options
- Career path development & mentorship
- Employee Assistance Program & mental health resources
- DVM Referral Program
- Relocation assistance available
