Temporary Associate

Winn-Dixie is looking for a Temporary Associate to work onsite. This role is focused on providing excellent customer service, maintaining a clean and safe environment, and supporting store operations.

Job Purpose

This role is responsible for increasing customer confidence and loyalty by providing accurate, fast, and courteous customer service, consistent operating conditions, and a friendly atmosphere.

Essential Responsibilities
  • 40%
    • Provide continuous attention to customer needs; greet, assist and thank customers in a prompt, courteous, and friendly manner. Offer product suggestions when appropriate.
  • 40%
    • Stock and rotate department products efficiently and safely to ensure freshness and date control; restock and use supply items efficiently to eliminate waste and maintain the lowest supply cost. Operate department equipment and tools. Keep work area clean, orderly, and free from safety hazards. Report faulty equipment and hazards to management. Work both independently and with a team executing all tasks as directed.
  • 10%
    • Notify management of team member theft, customer shoplifting, unauthorized markdowns, property defacement, or any action that is illegal and/or against company policy.
  • 10%
    • E-Commerce orders:
    Assist customers with pickup orders, ensuring order accuracy and delivering to customers’ vehicles.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Supervisory Experience

0-3 years minimum.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required

  • Ability to communicate, understand and follow English instructions.
  • Authorization to work in the United States or the ability to obtain the same.
  • Compliance with all company policies and procedures.
  • High standard of integrity and reliability.
  • Basic computer skills are required to participate in online training.
  • Knowledge of customer service fundamentals and experience supporting a people-first culture across the store.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Preferred
  • Experience in retail grocery business fundamentals: inventory management, process efficiency, and improvement.
Location and Travel Requirements

On-site; no travel, overnight, or Motus eligibility.
