Installation Technician
MCS is hiring for a Low Voltage Site Supervisor with experience leading teams on copper and/or fiber projects in Panama City, FL
. This is a full‑time, permanent position with benefits.
The Low Voltage Site Supervisor must demonstrate their knowledge and skill by ensuring projects are completed in accordance with scope, budget, and schedule.
The Low Voltage Site Supervisor will require good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team setting. It is important that candidates keep abreast of industry trends and developments, as well as applicable Government regulations.
- Supervising low voltage projects from beginning to end.
- Supervising the installation of security, network, A/V, and all LV cabling.
- Overseeing the termination, testing, and labeling of end‑user devices.
- Ensuring the utilization of industry standard and company‑approved installation methods and techniques.
- Directing the installation of Card readers, cameras, speakers, displays, touch panels, projectors, and screens, etc.
- Ensuring all work complies with applicable AHJ codes and industry standards.
- Ensuring adherence to plans, specs, and wiring diagrams.
- Maintaining open communication with project managers ensuring that work quality, performance, and materials meet required schedules and expectations.
- Ensuring proper safety practices are followed and maintained.
High School diploma or equivalent
Experience Requirements- 5+ years experience in the commercial building construction industry related to Structured Cabling, Security, Access Control, CCTV, A/V, Paging, Nurse Call, Sound Masking.
- 2+ years in a supervisory role.
- OSP copper and Fiber Installation experience.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Ability to travel up to 50% preferred.
- Must have own hand tools.
- Must be able to stand, kneel and crouch for long periods of time.
- Must be able to climb ladders and scaffolding.
- Must be able to lift in excess of 50 pounds.
- Must be able to work in high places and in confined places.
- Work sites vary from finished space interiors to new construction sites. Appropriate dress according to the work environment is required.
- Work hours will vary according to individual projects. Some jobs may require weekend shifts.
