3rd Shift Opening

To operate overhead cranes, jib cranes, light bulldozers and backhoes, forklifts, tow motors, and other mobile equipment (including heavy cranes) for the moving of material, components, and equipment from location to location within the plant.

• Operate all heavy mobile cranes and moving equipment.
• Operate electro magnetic overhead crane for moving of products between various stages of production.
• Operate overhead cranes, jib cranes, light bulldozers and backhoes, forklifts, tow motors, and other mobile equipment for the moving of material, components, and equipment from location to location within the plant.
• Responsible for inspecting and securely placing hooks, straps, chains, clamps, chokes, cables, and other lifting apparatus prior to moving material, components, and/or equipment.
• Assist in the loading and unloading of material, products, and equipment.
• Report abnormal conditions of equipment to Foreman.

• Work in a safe and secure manner and comply with the safety rules and procedures.
• Assist in performing small repairs and preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Perform general laborer duties as required (i.e. grinding, loading and unloading of trucks and railcars, bricking furnace).
• Keep working area clean and perform housekeeping duties around the plant as required (i.e. pickup tools, roll-up hoses and cables, sweep).

• Exposure to normal shop noises of grinding, chipping, high pressure gas burners, and repair operations.
• Moderate physical exertion required.
• Exposure to inside and outside weather conditions.
• Exposure to extreme heat for intervals but not for extended periods.
• Exposure to dirty environment.
• High visual and mental attention required.
