Position Title RN - Float Pool (PT, night) Nights - Part Time Paola Hospital
Position Summary / Career Interest:
The registered nurse utilizes the nursing process to coordinate the interdisciplinary approach to patient care, promotes and restores patient health by completing the nursing process, collaborates with physicians and team members, and provides physical and psychological support to patients and their families. The RN practices within the boundaries of the Kansas Nurse Practice Act, specialty standards, and organizational/departmental policies and procedures, exemplifying core values of compassion, integrity, and unity.

- Consistently meets work schedule.
- Demonstrates critical thinking utilizing all aspects of the nursing process.
- Maintains a safe environment for patients.
- Coordinates health care services with hospital, vendors, physician's offices, and other institutions.
- Answers patient and significant others phone calls, evaluates patient needs, and triages patient care.
- Provides patient/family education using resources available.
- Acts as liaison between patient, significant others, and health team members.
- Identifies areas for professional growth.
- Participates fully as a member of the Patient Centered Medical Home Team.
- Must be able to perform the professional, clinical and/or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department.

Education and Experience
- Associate Degree Nursing
- High School Graduate
Education and Experience
- 1 or more years of previous healthcare experience
- Licensed Registered Nurse (LRN) – Single State – State Board of Nursing
- Licensed Registered Nurse (LRN) – Multi-State – State Board of Nursing
- Staff hired prior to 2/1/2024 are required to obtain a multistate RN license in the state of residence at the time of their next RN license renewal by 3/31/2026.
- CPR/AED/BLS – Other BLS
