Overview

Paola High School is a member of the Frontier League and sponsors athletic teams in football, volleyball, cross country, golf, tennis, soccer, basketball, wrestling, baseball, softball, and track, along with a cooperative swim team with Louisburg, Osawatomie, and Spring Hill. Activities and organizations include Cheer, Choir, Debate/Forensics, Drama/Theatre, FBLA, FCCLA, FFA, Instrumental Music, KAY, Robotics, and Scholar Bowl.

Paola is the county seat of Miami County, located in Eastern Kansas with a population of approximately 6,000 residents. With easy access to the Kansas City metro area, Paola and Miami County provide small-town living with quick access to the amenities of the Kansas City metro area.

The Assistant Principal/Athletic Director works a 203-day, 10.5-month (August – mid-June) contract with 13 days of paid leave per year.

• A Master’s degree in building administration from an accredited college/university.
• Current Kansas certification as a Building Administrator.

The ideal candidate will have previous administrative experience and a background in coaching/playing KSHSAA-sponsored sports or sponsoring KSHSAA activities.
