Advocates of guest experience who welcome, thank, and exceed guest service expectations by focusing on guest interaction, loyalty enrollment and store cleanliness. Advocates of both in-store and digital services and solutions who are knowledgeable about capabilities and features that drive adoption and guest loyalty. Empowered to make shopping quick and easy for guests at the checklanes, guest services, gift registry, pick-up and drive up while ensuring exceptional quality.

- Communicating and interacting with guests to build a welcoming guest experience
- Blending problem solving and decision making to positively impact the guest experience and resolve guest concerns
- Adapting to different guest interactions and situations
- Promoting and engaging around various benefits, offerings and services
As a Guest Advocate, no two days are ever the same, but a typical day will most likely include the following responsibilities:
- Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard
- Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests while completing daily tasks
- Engage with guests to help solve their specific needs
- Make the guest aware of current promos, store activities and events
- Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services available in the total store to solve issues and improve the guest experience
- Thank guests and let them know we’re happy they chose to shop at Target
- Know and speak to the benefits of Target Loyalty programs and assist with application or sign-up as needed
- Scan and bag items efficiently, accurately and in compliance with safety standards and company best practices
- Work efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining service and accuracy
- Understand and show guests how to use features and offerings within the Target App including Wallet
- Be familiar with Order Pick-Up, Drive Up, and online ordering; direct guests to enroll, activate and use these features
- Handle returns following policies and procedures and escalate as needed
- Maintain a clean, clutter-free work area and stock supplies during open hours
- Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance; work safely at all times and report hazards
- Support guest services such as order pickup (OPU), Drive-up (DU) orders and DU returns; comply with applicable laws and policies
- All other duties based on business needs

Basic skills we value include: communicating effectively, a welcoming attitude, attention to detail, willingness to educate guests about products and services, ability to use handheld scanners and other technology, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Accurately handle checkout operations and cash office support as needed
- Scan, handle and move merchandise safely; lift up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 44 pounds occasionally
- Flexible schedule (including nights, weekends and holidays); reliable attendance
- Ability to stay mobile for the duration of a shift
- Ability to work in varying temperatures and conditions while performing job duties
