Reports to: Principal/Director of Crusader Care Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Part-Time (hours based on program needs; Monday-Friday 1:00-5:30 PM) St. Columbkille Catholic School is seeking a responsible and nurturing Lead Teacher for our Before and After School Care Program (Crusader Care). The ideal candidate will create a safe, welcoming environment for children in grades Preschool–8, while leading engaging activities that reflect the values of our Catholic school community.

• Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of students at all times
• Plan and lead age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, and spiritual development
• Provide positive guidance and behavioral support in alignment with school expectations
• Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and fellow team members
• Assist with snacks, indoor/outdoor play, homework help, and clean-up routines
• Support a faith-based, student-centered atmosphere grounded in the mission of St. Columbkille School

Requirements Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Understanding of child development and age-appropriate practices
• Strong management and supervisory skills in a group setting
• Ability to create and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate activities
• Clear and effective communication skills with children, parents, and staff
• Capacity to respond calmly and effectively in challenging situations
• Strong organizational skills, including time management and routine setting
• Commitment to upholding the values and mission of a Catholic school environment
• Flexibility, dependability, and a collaborative mindset

Education and Experience

• Experience working with children
• Must be Safe Environment certified or be willing to become certified
• Additional certification hours will be required
