Job Summary and ResponsibilitiesAs our House Supervisor, you will be a pivotal clinical leader, primarily overseeing and coordinating comprehensive care delivery across all clinical areas during designated shifts. Every day, you'll serve as in-house administration after hours/weekends, assuming delegated nursing administrative responsibilities. You will assist directors, monitor productivity, and act as a crucial communication link. You will also operationalize strategic initiatives and model ethical management, supporting our mission.
Key Responsibilities- Has the authority to interview, hire, orient, terminate, promote, train, and conduct performance evaluations.
- Assign day-to-day work activities and direct the functional and technical job performance of team members.
- Allocate and direct staffing needs to meet patient, unit, and department needs, and collaborate with others to ensure overall staffing needs are met.
- Responsible for the coordination and support of patient activity and safe practices in all clinical areas on the designated shift.
- Oversee placement of all admissions on designated shift. All hospital EMTALA transfer requests are discussed/coordinated through the House Supervisor.
- Responsible for facilitating unit triaging during times of peak census. When high census or ICU contingency plans are imminent, coordinates decisions with Directors, Medical Director, Vice President and Administrator on-call as appropriate.
- Bachelor of Nursing and 3 to 5 years of clinical experience, upon hire.
- Registered Nurse: NE, upon hire.
- Basic Life Support – CPR, upon hire.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support, upon hire.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support, upon hire.
