Responsible for assisting with one of three areas:

  • Concessions: Must be 19 years or older. Takes concession orders, prepares, stores, and serves food and beverage in accordance with established health regulations. Operates Point of Sale System, accepts payment, and makes accurate change. Maintains a clean and hazard‑free environment. Dispenses alcohol in accordance with the Rules and Regulations of the Nebraska Liquor Control Commission as it applies to the Sum Tur Amphitheater Class I Liquor License.
  • Stage: Assists with stage management/coordination during designated events, including setup of audio, lighting, and projector equipment. Assists or fills in for Production Manager for amphitheater events as necessary. Maintains a clean and hazard‑free environment.
  • Facility: Prepares and cleans event areas to maintain cleanliness and a hazard‑free environment. Provides a wide variety of customer support tasks including, but not limited to, concessions, ticket taking, ushering, and stage preparation.

Assigned Facility Manager / Recreation Coordinator

Purpose of Position

Under immediate supervision, responsible for the daily maintenance and upkeep of the assigned recreation facility. Assists in the supervision of recreational programs and activities, daily event operations, and ensures the efficient provision of services to the community for all functions held. An be required to work varied hours during the week, including evenings, weekends, and some holidays.

Essential Functions
  • Inspect and clean facilities, eating areas, and associated bathrooms on a regular basis to maintain cleanliness and a hazard‑free environment; perform custodial duties such as sweeping, picking up trash, sanitizing, and vacuuming.
  • Perform general setup, cleanup, and maintenance for event areas, including cleaning spills, removing trash, tidying up, replacing tables and chairs, opening and closing dividers, and returning equipment used for the event.
  • Ensure compliance of departmental policies regarding hygiene, health, safety, and sanitation procedures.
  • Correct potential health and safety concerns or report them to supervisor.
  • Provide a safe and creative play atmosphere for children under the care of all recreation facilities participating in recreational programs and activities; report any incidents of child abuse/neglect per guidelines.
  • Adhere to and enforce rules and regulations to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment; refer individuals who fail to comply with regulations to supervisor.
  • Attend staff meetings and participate in employee training sessions as required.
  • Establish and maintain positive public relations with the public, recreation participants, and other employees; refer citizen complaints to supervisor for resolution.
  • Operate point‑of‑sale systems, including recreational software used for membership, registrations, and department programming; accept cash and credit payments, make accurate change, maintain cash drawers, and accurately report sales if assigned to facilities with concession and/or admission sales.
  • Operate various equipment, appliances, and utensils; ensure that equipment and utensils are in proper working order.
  • Report complaints, problems, and needs concerning equipment and food supplies to appropriate supervisor, such as defective, damaged, or lost utensils, supplies and equipment, spoiled or unattractive food, and menu complaints.
  • Participate in citywide special events as needed.
  • Maintain regular and dependable attendance on the job, including when called out on short notice due to weather conditions, emergencies, or similar situations of public necessity.
