In-Home Special Education Teacherthat is available for the 2025/2026 school year.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in relation to Special Education from an accredited college or university Must possess a valid State of Arizona professional teacher certificate with Special Education Endorsement AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card Knowledge of core academic subject assigned, curriculum, and ability to instruct students and manage their behavior Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations and policies affecting special education At least one year of teaching experience with students with a variety of disabilities, including students with behavior disorders and other learning and cognitive delays, preferred.

Must possess strong communication and organizational skills. Must demonstrate initiative and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Must have the ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time; see and read a computer screen and printed material with or without vision aids; hear and understand speech at normal levels and on the telephone; speak in audible tones so that others may understand clearly in person and on the telephone;

and the ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions;
May include frequent walking, standing, stooping, lifting up to approximately 25 pounds and occasional lifting of equipment and/or materials weighing up to approximately 40 pounds may be required. Driver’s License

Job Description:

Contract through the 2025/2026 school year – 15 hours per week Contract follows the academic district calendar

As a Special Education Teacher, you will:

Develop and implement engaging, effective lesson plans and special education programs tailored to student’s needs. Adapt curriculum based on Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and diverse learning styles. Maintain regular contact with parents, providing updates on progress and collaborating on strategies to support learning ate a well-organized, safe, and positive learning environment. Assess and track student progress, adjusting instruction as needed.

Modify curriculum and materials according to IEP goals. Conduct evaluations and maintain accurate records of student progress. Ensure compliance with special education regulations and complete necessary documentation.

Salary:

$675 – $705 per week
