Located in beautiful Northern California, Adventist Health Clear Lake has been a leading healthcare provider in Lake County since 1968. We are comprised of a 25-bed critical access hospital and provide primary and specialty care services at clinics throughout the Lake, Butte & Tehama County areas to best serve our communities.

Provides oral hygiene and preventive services to dental patients. Evaluates and assesses provision of services. Performs extended function procedures safely in compliance with regulations under the direction of a dentist. Prepares materials and equipment for treatment and has them ready for use.

• High School Education/GED or equivalent:
  Required
• Associate’s/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience:
  Preferred
• Two years' dental assistant experience:
  Preferred

• Registered Dental Assistant Extended Function (RDAEF) licensure in state of practice:
  Required
• Radiation Safety Certificate:
  Required
• Coronal Polish license:
  Required
• Sealant license:
  Required
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification:
  Required
• Registered Dental Assistant Extended Function (RDA-EF):
  Required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification:
  Required

• Conduct preliminary evaluation of the patient's oral health, including charting, intraoral and extra-oral evaluation of soft tissue, classifying occlusion, and myofunctional evaluation.
• Size and fit endodontic master points and accessory points. Cement endodontic master points and accessory points.
• Take final impressions for tooth-borne removable prosthesis. Place, contour, finish, and adjust all direct restorations.
• Polish and contour existing amalgam restorations. Adjust and cement permanent indirect restorations. Perform cord retraction of gingiva for impression procedures.
• Taken final impressions for permanent indirect restorations.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
