Job SummaryProvides oral hygiene and preventive services to dental patients. Evaluates and assesses provision of services. Performs extended function procedures safely in compliance with regulations under the direction of a dentist. Prepares materials and equipment for treatment and has them ready for use.
Job Requirements- High School Education/GED or equivalent:
Required - Associate’s/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience:
Preferred - Two years' dental assistant experience:

- Registered Dental Assistant Extended Function (RDAEF) licensure in state of practice:
Required - Radiation Safety Certificate:

Required - Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification:

Required
- Conduct preliminary evaluation of the patient's oral health, including charting, intraoral and extra-oral evaluation of soft tissue, classifying occlusion, and myofunctional evaluation.
- Size and fit endodontic master points and accessory points. Cement endodontic master points and accessory points.
- Take final impressions for tooth-borne removable prosthesis. Place, contour, finish, and adjust all direct restorations.
- Polish and contour existing amalgam restorations. Adjust and cement permanent indirect restorations. Perform cord retraction of gingiva for impression procedures.
- Taken final impressions for permanent indirect restorations.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
