• Greet and assist customers promptly: approach and acknowledge customers immediately, providing assistance while efficiently handling multiple customers.
• Understand and meet customer needs: share product knowledge, answer questions, direct customers to merchandise, and offer recommendations; engage in suggestive selling while staying abreast of product availability.
• Promote store events and promotions: inform customers about current store events, promotions, and special activities to enhance their shopping experience and drive sales.
• Resolve customer concerns: address customer issues and use product knowledge to offer alternative solutions, aiming to turn returns into exchanges when possible.
• Communicate needs to management: regularly inform management about merchandise restocking, service requirements, and customer feedback in a timely manner.
• Support team and company goals: collaborate with the team to achieve overall store and company objectives, contributing to a positive and productive work environment.

• At least 16 years old.
• Available to work a flexible schedule.
• Comfortable with or willing to learn technology (cash registers, hand‑held devices, mobile devices).
• Good communicator with the ability to engage with customers.
• Capable of handling customer interactions and potential issues/concerns courteously and professionally.
• Use basic information‑gathering skills to solve problems.
• Ability to learn procedural knowledge through on‑the‑job training.

• Frequently operate the cash register.
• Frequently move merchandise up to 25 lb and place/remove merchandise up to 5‑10 ft in height.
• Frequently ascend/descend ladders to retrieve and put away stock.
• Frequently kneel, bend, twist, and stoop, including in the stock room and on the sales floor.
• Frequently communicate and exchange information with customers on the telephone and face‑to‑face in the store, as well as with managers and coworkers; must exchange accurate information.
• Frequently move across the sales floor assisting customers, and to and from the stock room retrieving and putting away merchandise.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include day, evening, weekends, overnight shifts, and travel as required.
• Must be able to identify and discern email and print instructions regarding merchandise layouts, associate schedules, and SOPs.
• Must be able to remain in a stationary, upright position for 80 % of the time.
