The Night Head Clerk plans, organizes, and supervises the workflow for the night stocking crew. This role includes ordering, receiving, organizing, storing, stocking, inventory control, building displays, and operating related equipment such as Power Lift Equipment (PLE), UBoats, bailer, and pallet jacks. The Night Head Clerk maintains a safe work environment, complies with hazardous waste handling, and ensures store cleanliness. In the absence of other management personnel, this position oversees all store operations and assists customers as needed.

• Direct and supervise night crew, including training personnel, per company policies and procedures.
• Organize workflows for stocking execution; maintain backroom organization and product staging.
• Maintain product quality, stock, rotate, block, and face products; process unsaleable items per company standards.
• Keep grocery department areas orderly and in-stock.
• Control shrinkage and damage of products.
• Clean and dust shelves.
• Maintain a safe and sanitary work environment.
• Prepare and display product signage.
• Audit product cases, complete necessary forms and reports accurately to support cost, quality and inventory control.
• Implement company and merchandising policies and practices.
• Use computer software and other electronic equipment.
• Handle customer and vendor relations professionally and service-oriented.
• Perform all job duties with honesty, integrity, and compliance with company policies.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• Friendly, courteous, tactful, and composed in interactions with co-workers, vendors, and customers.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to frequently reach, lift, stack, and maneuver objects up to ~50 lb., from floor level to overhead.
• Experience pushing and pulling fully loaded UBoats, hand trucks, and pallet jacks.
• PLE certification on all store equipment.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods; bend, stoop, reach, and climb ladders frequently.
• Mental alertness required for safe, accurate work completion.
• Knowledge of basic math, inventory control, merchandising, product storage, hazardous waste, safety requirements, and receiving procedures.
• Manual dexterity and good eye-hand coordination.
• Proficiency with cleaning supplies and safety cutters.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

High School Diploma (G.E.D. Equivalent). Minimum of 6 months of related experience.

Must frequently reach, lift, stack, and maneuver objects up to ~50 lb. at floor level to overhead, and perform tasks that require standing, walking, bending, stooping, and climbing ladders.

Scheduled shift is overnight; may work weekends and holidays. Scheduled hours vary.

Hiring pay range: $29.37 – $29.37 per hour (fixed).
