Job Summary

Under direct supervision, level one material handlers are usually forklift certified, and may be required to lift up to 35 lbs. Forklift duties may include loading/unloading semi-trucks, stocking raw materials, moving material to and from machines/operations. Other duties include picking and kitting materials, and supporting inventory audits. Level one may also be responsible for handling the transport of revert, i.e. chips and drops.

In order to maintain inventory and traceability, material lot information and transaction accuracy in the relevant MRP system, basic computer skills and knowledge of inventory processes may be required.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Safely Operates Forklift and Load & Unload Material.
  • Thoroughly Review Packing Slips.
  • Ensure final product is delivered to Inspection.
  • Perform Daily Forklift Checkup.
  • Ensure Part & Material Handling is done to meet Quality and Safety standards.
  • Visually Inspect and validate serial numbers & Verify Product Count.
  • Deliver all documentation to OSP receiver.
  • Ensures parts have been prepped for Shipping.
  • Strong communication with OSP Buyer to understand daily/weekly plan.
  • Understand all material sizes and processes (Heat Treat, Machining, NDT).
  • Manage and pull material from Inventory.
  • Responsible for area Cleanliness/Organization (6S).
  • Troubleshoot traceability issues.
  • Support all production areas when needed.
  • Model culture in a positive manner.
  • Proactively manage OSP incoming and outgoing work.
  • Actively looks for process improvement opportunities.
  • Train employees in department as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Required Education / Experience
  • High school / GED or Technical College degree preferred but not required.
  • 0-5+ years’ experience for level 1.
  • 5+ years’ experience for level 2.
Requirements
  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
  • Ability to follow safety guidelines when loading/unloading vehicle and handling materials.
  • Must be able to move/lift/pull up to 35 lbs (may not exceed per EHS Policies).
  • Ability to operate forklift and other mobile equipment in a safe manner.
  • Report all incidents to management immediately.

For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $16.00 to $23.75 US Dollar (USD) hourly based on a variety of factors. For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company’s Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 1X the Company’s bonus multiple, based on the Company’s performance in the applicable quarter.

Employees will receive 80 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays. Employees (and their families) are eligible to participate in the company's medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are eligible to enroll in the Company’s 401(k) plan.

This position requires use of information or access to production processes subject to national security controls under U.S. export control laws and regulations (including, but not limited to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR)). To be qualified to work in this facility, a successful applicant must be a U.S. Person, as defined in those regulations, and able to supply evidence of that qualification prior to starting work or be authorized to receive controlled information under a specific license or permission from the relevant government agency.

The U.S. export control regulations define a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), and certain categories of Asylees and Refugees.
