Position: Hand Forge Helper *1st or 2nd Shift*

Hourly Rate Range: $22.75 - $24.00
2nd Shift Hourly Differential: $1.50

Drives fork truck to transport material and assist Hand Forge Operators.

Major

Job Duties

Learn hand forge procedures and paperwork
Drive Manipulator
Run conventional upset, double upset and ABC upset
Run simple slab hand forgings
Pull parts from ovens for all pressesa
Load ovens with forklift and/or manipulator
Steel stamp completed forgings

Additional Responsibilities

Learn shop measurements with tape measurer, calipers, and verniers
Assist with press die set ups
Learn to identify if a part needs to be scrapped
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Must be able to comply with ITAR and EAR residency requirements
Basic understanding of English
Follow verbal instructions

Education / Experience

High school graduate or equivalent experience (GED or better)

Preferred Qualifications

Overhead Crane Operator experience
