Admissions Coordinator - Paramus, NJ
Salary range: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
We are looking for an Admissions Coordinator to assist in census development, admissions process, and marketing activities at CAREONE at Ridgewood Avenue. This role supports regulatory compliance and promotes census growth.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Maintain all administrative responsibilities related to facility admissions.
- Verify Medicare, primary, and co‑insurance prior to admission.
- Make follow‑up calls to discharged patients.
- Complete department data logs and daily census verification.
- Coordinate marketing efforts with facility staff to ensure occupancy and quality mix objectives are met.
- Input resident face sheets and complete admission applications and packets upon admission.
- Conduct family tours and communicate admission information to referral sources.
- Ensure timely documentation of all admission records.
- Maintain accuracy of the census, daily facility bed board, and room assignments.
- Collect insurance cards, private pay funds, and financial information prior to admissions.
- Obtain necessary approvals on financial and clinical criteria using company admission policies.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 1–2 years of experience in long‑term care admissions preferred.
- Sales experience desirable.
- Sales‑oriented personality, results‑driven and achievement oriented.
- Ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, and the general public.
- Patience, tact, positive disposition, enthusiasm, and willingness to handle residents and families at various cognitive levels.
- Capacity to seek out new methods and principles and incorporate them into admissions practices.
- Ability to make independent decisions when warranted.
- Empathy for both older prospects and adult children.
