- Prepare the first pass of the forecast for all forecast levels using either statistical methods from our Demand Planning tool or a manually developed forecast.
- Execute the forecast in collaboration with the regions for all new products.
- Maintain a 9‑month to 18‑month forecast, including new products, product launches, and placeholders.
- Manage ABC code/lifecycle management and provide support data for decision making with MDM.
- Develop relationships with wholesale customers to improve overall forecasts and communicate phase‑out decisions to the supply chain planning team.
- Interact with brand leaders, sales forces, and account managers concerning forecast updates.
- Resolve forecast issues and conflicts with brand leaders and sales teams.
- Collaborate with Global Intercompany Logistics Planning to reflect supply changes appropriately in the demand plan.
- Manage the S&OP meeting process.
- Organize the monthly forecasting cycle, detailing deadlines, expectations, and rules for primary forecasters.
- Track purchase orders and requisitions versus open‑to‑buy to ensure compliance.
- Validate the forecast against the budget, approving SKU forecasts for loading into SAP.
- Analyze selling performance reports to identify trends and issues within the forecast for brand leaders and sales teams.
- Analyze the demand forecast to ensure it meets the organization footprint according to product mix, core SKUs, new product launch, phase‑out products, budget, line plan, forecast level, market, and minimum order quantities.
- Analyze inventory using on‑hand inventory reports and the inventory projection tool to recommend sell‑through inventory depth and achieve inventory objectives.
- Measure and track all KPIs, including selling performance reporting, consumer performance reports, inventory projects, inventory turns, inventory days of supply.
- Minimum of 4 years of related experience in a similar position.
- Bachelor's degree in business or related field.
- Knowledge of supply & demand principles and forecasting & demand planning techniques.
- Understanding of channels of trade and the differences between retail and wholesale business.
- Knowledge of procurement process.
- Strong analytical decision‑making skills.
- Results‑oriented with high energy and strong work ethic.
- Influence and negotiation skills with high customer focus.
- Focus on team/relationship building and integrity/ethics.
- Ability to work in a collaborative planning environment and in a diverse global planning environment.
- SAP skills required (SAP IBP integrated business planning).
The base salary range for this position is $80,000 to $95,000 per year. Base salary is determined by individualized factors such as experience and market location.
