SINAI Schools is seeking a highly motivated Special Education Assistant Director for SINAI@YCQ in Queens, NY. The ideal candidate will have a Master's Degree in Special Education or a related field with at least 5 years of teaching and administrative experience in an educational setting (special education preferred).
Responsibilities- Assess and develop curricula for multiple classes and age groups (from ages 6-14) for students with special needs
- Supervise and provide constructive feedback to teachers
- Conduct behavioral planning and incident management
- Facilitate collaboration among the team to maximize each student’s potential
- Lead professional development and growth opportunities for teachers
- Communicate regularly with parents
- Facilitate the process of written student evaluations

Salary Range: $90,000-$110,000
About SINAI@YCQSINAI@YCQ, for students in grades one through eight, is located at Yeshiva of Central Queens in Queens, NY. Students have a wide range of developmental, intellectual, and complex learning disabilities, and are grouped into multigraded classes according to their social, academic, and emotional profiles to create appropriate peer groups.
