Job Duties- Pick up and reconcile all discharged encounters throughout the hospital pursuant to assigned schedule.
- Demonstrate ability to use computer applications (e.g., HPF, Paragon, Webnet) proficiently.
- Retrieve medical record documentation for patient care.
- Accurately assign deficiencies for outpatient encounters.
- Accurately assemble LTC records.
- Answer departmental phone in a timely and courteous manner.
- Know how to prep and scan a medical record.
- Assist physicians (or other clinical staff) with transcription and/or HPF questions as needed.
- Perform duties in accordance with established procedures, protocols, and department standards.
- Participate in department and organizational performance improvement activities.
- Remains sensitive to the needs of others; treats others with respect, dignity, and courtesy.
- Demonstrate the interpersonal skills necessary to communicate effectively and positively with various internal and external customers.
- Ensure patient confidentiality is maintained in accordance with regulations and policy.
- Demonstrate courtesy and cooperation when interacting with coworkers.
- Work collaboratively with other departments to achieve patient care goals.
- Maintain flexibility in work assignments and schedule.
- Seek out continuing education opportunities to improve skill set.

- Maintain established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental, and infection control standards.
- Assess gaps in policies and procedures, and create necessary policies to fulfill these gaps.
- Understand and adhere to the Medical Center’s Code of Conduct.
- Familiar with the Medical Center’s Mission, Vision, and Values Statements.
Job Duties
- Performs other related duties as required.
High‑school graduate or equivalent preferred.
ExperiencePrevious experience in the medical field preferred. Previous customer service experience preferred. Working knowledge of medical terminology required.
Skills- Computer literate.
- Good organizational skills.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Speaks, reads, and writes English to the extent required by the position.
General office areas. Contact with staff and physicians. Frequent standing, walking, stooping, stretching, reaching, bending, and kneeling.
Salary and BenefitsSalary commensurate with experience within posted range. $19.25 per hour. Differentials: $1.00 for evening, night, and weekend shifts.
