Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, on-site position for a Certified Athletic Trainer. In this role, you will provide immediate care for injuries during sporting events, develop injury prevention programs, and deliver rehabilitation and recovery services for athletes. You will work closely with sports teams, coaches, and healthcare professionals to ensure the safety and well-being of participants by creating and implementing strategies for injury management and prevention.
Maintaining accurate records and offering expert guidance on athlete health will also be essential responsibilities.
- Proficiency in injury prevention, prevention techniques, and applying best practices to minimize risk of harm
- Expertise in athletic training, including providing care during sporting events, and a strong understanding of sports-related medical concerns
- Knowledge and experience with rehabilitation and strength & conditioning to support athlete recovery and performance improvement
- Strong communication skills to interact with athletes, coaches, and medical professionals
- Bachelor's degree in athletic training or a related field and NATA-BOC certification
- State licensure in athletic training for New Jersey or eligibility to obtain licensure
- CPR and first aid certification
- Previous experience in a similar role is highly beneficial
