Registered Behavior Technician; RBT

We are now hiring a Registered Behavior Technician in Edison
, NJ. Registered behavior technicians work in homes, schools, and community settings with children, adolescents, and adults, using best practices to teach the critical skills needed for everyone to live a meaningful and independent life. The ideal candidate will have experience implementing individualized behavior interventions in multiple settings.

Compensation Rate: $28.00 per hour

• Provide onsite services to participants with intellectual and developmental disabilities through evidence based and data driven methodologies that include trauma informed care and positive behavior supports
• Model and implement behavioral support strategies specified in the Behavior Plan that assist the participant with acquiring, retaining, improving, and generalizing the behavioral, self-help, socialization, and adaptive skills necessary to function successfully in the home and the community
• Provide timely and structured written feedback to the clinicians on the provision and effectiveness of the Behavior Plan and strategies
• Participate in onsite meetings or instructional sessions with the participant’s support network regarding the recommendations, strategies, and next steps identified in the Behavior Plan
• Collect data on progress and work collaboratively to ensure effective behavior reduction, skill acquisition, and skill generalization
• Prepare progress reports for the participant’s team as needed
• Additional tasks and responsibilities may be assigned
• Employee must cooperate with the license and department staff in any inspection, inquiry, or investigation

• High School Diploma or GED
• Successfully complete a 40-hour behavioral technician training
• Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record
• Knowledge of Positive Behavior Supports
• Ability to implement Behavior Plans independently and confidently
• Excellent time management skills
• Employment is contingent upon successful completion of checks of criminal background, central registry, child abuse registry, and drug testing
