American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Oncology RN for a night shift position requiring 2+ years of Med/Surg Oncology experience and an active NJ or compact RN license.

• Inpatient Medical Surgical Oncology unit setting
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 7:30
• Every other weekend required
• Floating to other units required, including the Ridgewood Observation Unit for those assigned to this facility or its float pool
• Meditech EMR experience preferred

• Active NJ or Compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg Oncology experience required
• BLS certification required to start
• Prior travel experience required with no clinical or professional cancellations
• Must pass a Basic Arrhythmia Exam with a minimum score of 80% with no retakes permitted
• Proficiency required in systematic EKG rhythm interpretation, heart rate calculations, and identification of atrial, ventricular, junctional, paced rhythms, and heart blocks
• Experience with IV therapy/infusions, accessing and managing ports, administration of blood and blood products, central line/implanted line care, PICC line care, starting and maintaining IVs, and chemotherapy administration required

• Provide direct patient care to inpatient oncology population
• Current Nursys license verification required for consideration
• NJ employment verification required for candidates who have worked in NJ within the past 7 years, including employer name, address, and phone number
• Prior permanent employees of the facility are not eligible for this travel assignment
• Local candidates within 75 miles are accepted at the local rate
• Required lab work must begin within two business days of offer acceptance
• Completion of required orientation and annual modules as specified by specialty
