Traveling Licensed Optician, Part-Time - North NJ Area

Warby Parker is seeking skilled and enthusiastic Opticians to join our growing in-house optical team. In this role, you will become an expert in our brand and products, helping customers see better. Whether assisting longtime fans or first-time wearers, you will deliver exceptional customer service across multiple stores, leaving customers excited and confident about our glasses. What you'll do:

• Work in multiple store locations within your state of licensure, reporting to the District or Area Leader
• Assist customers in selecting eyewear that meets their needs
• Take and record measurements, adjust, and fit eyewear accurately
• Ensure finished eyewear meets optical standards and customer specifications
• Explain prescription terms and product options to customers
• Help customers choose frames and lenses based on prescription, face shape, style, and lifestyle
• Collaborate with team members to develop best practices for sales and service
• Represent our brand and educate customers about our mission and values
• Mentor future opticians through apprenticeships where applicable
• Report mileage and travel expenses accurately for reimbursement

Who you are:

• A licensed dispensing optician in states requiring a license or an ABO-certified optician in non-licensing states
• Flexible to work various shifts and adapt to different store teams
• Capable of traveling up to 50 miles to multiple store locations
• An effective communicator who can simplify technical information for customers
• Dedicated to exceeding customer and team expectations
• An energetic, positive team player adaptable to a fast-paced environment
• Extremely detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities
• Open-minded and eager to learn and challenge your knowledge
• Serious about your work but humble about yourself
• Not listed on the Office of Inspector General’s List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE)

Warby Parker believes the posted salary range is accurate at the time of posting. The range may vary based on experience, skills, qualifications, and location, and may be updated in the future.

Pay Range: $40 — $42 USD
