The Licensed Optician creates exceptional value in the lives of customers by delivering Signature Customer Experiences.

• Conveys a commitment to customer service by performing the sales and service process steps.
• Executes the CEE Service Model through Connect, Explore and Exceed.
• Supports problem solving and troubleshooting.
• Engages patients, customers and fellow associates with technology to enhance experiences.
• Delivers the Diamond Service Principles and Service Vision.
• Celebrates Lens Crafters Advantages and leads the location in customer service.
• Anticipates problems, investigates root causes, and develops long‑term solutions.
• Assists the customer in selecting frames and lenses that suit lifestyle, Rx, and price needs; suggests improvements and solutions to problems.
• Provides customer education on Lens Crafters guarantees and services (eyewear care tips, complimentary adjustments, follow‑up services, protection plans, warranties).
• Performs eyewear fitting, adjusting, and measurement tasks with accuracy.
• Ensures finished eyewear meets optical standards and customer requirements.
• Operates the point‑of‑sale terminal with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Collects proper payment following company procedures and protects cash.
• Uses the Order Tracker to support ready‑when‑promised orders.
• Maintains store appearance and ensures visual displays follow planograms.
• Maintains a positive relationship with the Store Manager / Macy’s Host.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• State licensure or certification by a nationally‑recognized optician association.
• Optical dispensing experience.
• Knowledge of optical theory and store merchandise.
• Strong communicator and listener.
• Awareness of current fashion trends.
• Sales skills and ability to use an iPad/tablet.
• Comfort with technology to engage customers, patients, and associates.

• Actively studying Lens Crafters Quality, Fitting and Adjusting Program.
• Previous customer service and retail experience.

Pay Range: $28.66 - $38.27 per hour

Employee pay is based on geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements. A bonus or commission plan may also be offered. Benefits may include health care, retirement savings, paid time off/vacation, and employee discounts.
