Join Whole Foods Market to provide courteous, friendly, and efficient service as a Prepared Foods Team Member. All positions must support Whole Foods Market core values, promote programs and initiatives, and ensure adherence to health and safety regulations.

$17.00/hr – $25.40/hr

• Cuts, prepares, and serves a variety of hot and cold foods, including meats, cheeses, sandwiches, burritos, wraps, salads, and pizza.
• Samples products to customers.
• Stocks hot and cold cases and displays with prepared foods from kitchen, walk‑in preparation, and refrigerators.
• Checks in‑stock product dates, rotates and ensures freshness.
• Prepares and consolidates recyclables.
• Assists Team Leader with organizing and displaying volume and seasonal items.
• Completes spoilage, sampling, temperature, and sweep worksheets as required.
• Assists with periodic inventory checks.
• Arrives to work station on time, appropriately groomed, dressed and ready to work; works all scheduled shifts and attends required trainings and meetings.
• Provides excellent customer service, answers phones and pages promptly and courteously.
• Maximizes sales potential through effective preparation, storage, rotation, stocking, and merchandising of product.
• Follows established procedures including Weights & Measures, health and sanitation, and safe work practices.
• Maintains a clean and sanitary working environment and equipment.
• Performs opening, mid, and closing duties; ensures accuracy of signs and pricing.
• Immediately reports safety hazards and violations.

• Ability to sell proactively.
• Basic knowledge of all product types carried in the department.

• No prior retail experience required.

• Must lift 50 pounds.
• Standing/walking 6–8 hours per 8‑hour day.
• Hand use: single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling.
• Movements: bending, twisting, squatting, reaching.
• Exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals.
• Exposure to temperatures: 90°F.
• Work in wet and dry conditions.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Use of tools and equipment (knives, box cutters, pallet jacks). May require ladders.
